This series, which is based on the book “Shock: The Healing Power of Electroconvulsive Therapy” by Kitty Dukakis and Larry Tye, reveals the personal stories of a dozen people who underwent electroconvulsive therapy for the treatment of severe depression or bipolar disorder.
